Abstract
Executive Summary
This report documents my three-month internship with the M.M. Ispahani Group, combining
experiences in Human Resources (HR) at M.M. Ispahani Limited and Finance & Accounts
(F&A) at Ispahani Agro Limited. The dual placement provided me with a unique opportunity to
know about overlap of managing manpower and being custodian of funds of a large FMCG
conglomerate.
I contributed to HR phase activities such as recruitment and employer branding activities, for
example, arrangements for the DU Career Fair 2025, and organized training material on
professional etiquette for drivers. I was further informed of the organization's sales training
and developmental programs, with emphasis on formal recruitment, recognition, and
continuous learning for enhancing organizational performance.
Finance & Accounts phase involved seed purchase follow-ups, checks on invoices, bank
reconciliations, and correcting regional funds processing. These tasks applied my internal
auditing knowledge and taught me how proper controls result in efficiency. I was further
exposed to computer systems such as TallyPrime GOLD, DreamApps ERP++, and
DocuSpeedy, demonstrating how ERP and HRIS systems assist with payroll management,
compliance, and accountability.
Among all the lessons learned from this internship, perhaps most significant is how necessary
it is to system-integrate Accounting Information Systems (AIS) for HR and Finance to
communicate with each other. Areas like payroll, staff appreciation, and alloted resource
management need to get synched across divisions. Comparisons with other players like Square,
ACI, and Akij further showed that system integration has become a competitive imperative for
operating in the FMCG sector.
To sum up, the internship has interlinked academic learnings with real-life experiences and
validated the necessity of technology-facilitated HR and Finance integration for operational
insights and sustainable organizational growth.
